A Touch of Couture | Collection 2 DIGITAL VERSION
by Angela Wolf
Available in digital download
A Touch of Couture embroidery collection was designed to offer embellishing options with trims for jacket, inserts for jeans and tops all of which would look fabulous in home dec as well.
My first embroidery collection A Touch of Lace included lace trims, inserts, and scalloped edging. A Touch of Couture focuses on lace trims in various shapes including corners, arc’s and v-shapes which is ideal for embellishing jackets and tops, not to mention pillows, table runners, and other home dec projects. These designs are not intended as free-standing lace, but to be embroidered on tulle. But do not let that limit your imagination, I have also embroidered these on mesh, knit, silk chiffon, and denim.
Designs in sections 1, 2, and 3 include many different layouts with the same design: different connecting points, corners, fills, and elements. This will allow you to embroider an entire square (I even included a 9” X 9” square to get you started) or separate sections. For example, you can use the designs to refashion a jacket with trim that runs around the neckline, down the center front edge and around to the sides, even corners to embellish the sleeve vent.
Designs in section 4 include mini flowers in v-shape, corner, straight edge, and random fill. The variety makes it easy to refashion a top adding lace to the neckline and sleeves. In fact, the Bella top pattern is included with this embroidery collection which includes instructions on adding the lace trims as you see here.
Designs in section 5 include larger floral designs that again be used individually or collectively for inserts and trims. These designs are perfect for embellishing jeans or another insert for the Delila top pattern that was included in Collection 1 A Touch of Lace.

Each embroidery design includes a solid color version to make it faster for you to create mono-color designs. You will also find a section of low density embroidery designs, which use less thread and embroider a little faster (see below for details). What embroidery collection wouldn’t be complete without a top to sew, so I have also included my Delila knit top. This top is a stylish, yet simple top to sew and offers many options to embellish with lace. I will be adding tutorials for embellishing and refashioning ready-to-wear garments with my lace collection and hope you will follow along on my blog. You might also want to show off your work in my Private Angela Wolf Patterns Facebook Group and join sewers from all over the world!
