    I can't wait

Posted by Karyn Elder on 3rd Jun 2013

From the looks of it the pattern will be great. As an old school teacher I so appreciate great directions and layouts. I have almost finished one online class of Angela's which has been great and have a couple more in My Craftsy waiting for when I have time. Thanks again Angela for sharing your expertise.

My Pattern arrived swiftly and in good shape. Love the spiral bound instructions! The paper is very nice to work with, heavy and well marked. Thank you for the Twill Tape and your note was appreciated.

    Ruched-T

My order arrived in very few days - awesome! The pattern is so nice - well written, booklet form, and the paper pattern is quality, nicely folded and is easy to handle for tracing. Made the short sleeve T for starters in one morning session - love the fit and style. Especially loved the hand written note from Angela and that she included twill tape to get me started. Already planning for the next T!

I received my Ruched-T pattern within days of ordering it. I was so impressed with the fast service that included a personal note from Angela. I'm still working on an unlined jacket from her Pattern Review video, but can hardly wait to began work on my t shirt.

I have made 2 Ruched T's. One for me and one for my Mother. I can't wait to make another. Great instructions, and thank you Angela for the twill tape. Now I know what to look for when I shop.

    The Ruched-T

Posted by Ann on 13th Oct 2012

Pattern Description: This is a great style of top that will quickly become a staple in your wardrobe and is very EASY to sew! One pattern offers many designs options including: ~ 3 different collars offer 4 different looks ~ Sleeve options include short, three quarter,or long sleeve ~ 2 ruching options for the body Pattern Sizing: SIZES -XXS - XL I made the X-Small. I measured a RTW top that I have which fits well. The top is similar in style and fabric that I was using. I then measured the paper pattern... from these measurements I decided on the X-Small and the end result was a perfect fit....right out of the envelope. That does not happen to me often. Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? I was very pleased that it actually did look like the pattern envelope picture. I ruched both side seams and both sleeves. ( you have design options, a checklist, whether to ruche both sides or just one, sleeve lengths and collar designs) Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions are in booklet format. They are very well written and so very easy to follow. The illustrations are also clear. Angela has Designer Sewing tips through out the steps. There is also a place to write notes for any changes you may have made. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I loved the ruching detail of this top and had seen pictures of Angela wearing it and it looked nice on her. I like that the neckline is not too low. I also like that the pattern paper is thick and well marked. Also with my order, I was impressed that Angela had written a note and had sent some twill tape, enough to make my top and a little left over. I thought that was a really nice touch :) It's nice to see what the Designer is using. Fabric Used: I used a stretch fabric I purchased from my local Fabricville, but I am not sure the content of the fabric. Comparing it to other fabric I have, I think it may have rayon/lycra. Whatever it is, it is a perfect plent for this pattern. Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made: I made absolutely "no" alterations or design changes, and it fit beautifully! It is very comfortable. (My measurement for the sleeve, including ruching was 17 1/2". My measurement for the side seam including ruching was 16 1/2") Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I will definitely sew it again. I plan on making all the options of this top and I highly recommend this pattern. Conclusion: I am so pleased with this pattern. The fit is wonderful and I think once you've made all the options you could certainly create more design options using this pattern. I've posted Pictures on my Blog. http://annsfashionstudio.blogspot.ca/ and http://sewing.patternreview.com/review/pattern/80067
