A few reviews:

                                                                 TERRIFIC!!!!  August 8, 2015

This is a totally AWESOME class! I can't begin to say how much I have learned from it without even knowing I was learning it!!! Angela is one of the best teachers on Craftsy, IMO! She is so laid back and takes her time explaining the techniques and is firm that if you don't understand something, ASK! I can't believe that I made a pair of JEANS!!! Get this class!!! It is worth EVERY cent!   Prostitch

                                         Amazing Class!!!  June 12,2015

Absolutely amazing class!!!  I have been sewing for many many years and I have to say I've learned so much from Angela in this one class - her method of teaching is brilliant with so much detail and visual explanation of what she is doing.
Thank you Angela and Craftsy for giving us 'Home Sewers' the opportunity of learning so many industry secrets.  I am so looking forward to making my very own designer jeans.   Sandie Freeman

Angel Bootcut Jean #AW4200-Digital PDF Version

Posted by Mary Holtz on 30th Aug 2023

Easy to match up & tape PDF pages together. Very thorough instructions and diagrams. Still working on a muslin before using actual denim. I scooped the back crotch curve which immediately made a better fit. Will do a little more fine tuning, but hope to make many pairs of jeans from this pattern.

    Quality directions

Posted by Emily on 17th May 2021

In reading pattern reviews for this after I bought the pattern, a lot of people mentioned Angela's Craftsy class where she discusses each step of the construction of these pants (though the class in general and could be used for any pattern). Between that and the very clear instructions in the PDF, I made my first pair of jeans (Maternity, no less!) that I was very proud of! And the few things I want to change, I feel knowledgeable enough to know what to do differently next time. Love my jeans, they fit great. I did have to take in the thighs/knees A LOT to get a slimmer fit on the upper portion. That was easy enough though. Everything else was minor tweaks that would be pretty expected fitting-wise.

I have made a pair of jeans with this pattern and I have to say that it is the best jean pattern ever. I love the fit, style and everything in general about the pattern. I can tell you that I will not be buying RTW jeans again.

Top of the Line Jeans Pattern

Posted by Unknown on 13th Jun 2016

I purchased the digital pattern of this product and also enrolled in Angela Wolf's Class 'Sewing Designer Jeans' on Craftsy.com. The pattern was very easy to download and in conjunction with the video I made my first pair of jeans. The fit was amazing, I only had to adjust the waistband and taper the jeans legs and Angela shows you how to do this in the video. I love, love this class as she takes you through the whole process of making the jeans, how to topstitch and how to distress your jeans. Another plus for the video is that you can ask questions and post pictures of your jeans if you need assistance. At present I am on my second pair of jeans. The pattern and video was money well spent. Thank you Angela.

    jeans that fit

Posted by Anne Scanapico on 1st Jan 2016

While I am still working my final muslin of this Jean pattern (only needed 2 muslins by my choice). I have found that the measurements and ease are exactly as stated which are so true to sizing making this pattern so much better than other Jean patterns I have tried. I raised my rise by 1, just because I don't look good in a Jean 2" below my waist, an age thing. I also added a dart under the seat to eliminate some of the excess fabric i have there and I scooped out 3/8" at the crotch back as I have a very low bottom and needed more room there. I also had to shorten the length above and below the knee as I am short (5'3") however, this pattern is great for those tall people that have to lengthen because it is quite long, now I am designing my initials for the back pocket. Btw, I am enrolled in Angela's "Sewing designer Jeans" on Craftsy, Fabulous class. She is the best instructor out there. This is just my opinion and I was not coerced by Angela. I plan to try her other patterns in the future.

Flattering, comfortable and fun to make. Love it!

Great pattern that looks like rtw. I found the sizing spot on and didn't even need to make any fitting adjustments. Looking forward to making many more pairs from this pattern!

Great Pattern but check the Sizing Chart Carefully

Posted by Kim Hurren on 26th May 2014

This pattern prints out and goes together easily. The instructions are great and the companion class on Craftsy makes them easy to make. I would caution you to carefully check the sizing chart. If you have a more "mature" figure (read: rounded tummy and dropped flat rear end), this may not be the pattern for you. Wait for the women's sized pattern to be developed. It is too bad that like the patterns from the commercials companies, the sizing does not correspond more closely to RTW.

Angel Jeans - Check the sizing carefully

Posted by Kim Hurre on 26th May 2014

This pattern is well put together with easy to follow directions. One word of caution, check the sizing chart carefully as there is no correlation to RTW. If you have a more mature figure (round tummy, dropped seat) wait until the women's size pattern is released.
